An unforgettable adventure: The Gottwalds celebrate in Thailand

The Gottwald family embarked on an extraordinary journey! Boxing promoter and "Celebrity Big Brother" winner Rainer Gottwald, his wife Tik, and their son Baron and daughter Mona-Lisa celebrated a very special event: a traditional Thai wedding in Tik's home village. The emotional celebration was accompanied and documented by the cameras of the reality show "Goodbye Germany" – a memory that will last forever!

A long-held dream comes true
A decade ago, Rainer had promised his wife they would remarry in their home country. Now the time had finally come – with a ceremony that was hard to beat in terms of pomp and significance. But the preparations had been intense!

Rainer, a successful boxing promoter accustomed to well-thought-out organization, faced the challenge of adapting to the Thai mentality—a mixture of serenity and hospitality. Things got particularly amusing when he tried to check a guest list with wristbands from his boxing events. But Tik remained steadfast: "Everyone is welcome in Thailand!" In the end, Rainer had to succumb to the traditional sense of community—and quickly realized that this was precisely what made the moment so magical.

Fun, chaos and unforgettable memories
Filming was an exciting experience for the whole family. Their son, Baron, who also works at Sauer Systems, was especially thrilled. But in his excitement, a serious mishap occurred: The suitcase containing the valuable wedding accessories and money was left unattended!

What followed was a mixture of frantic searching and fits of laughter—a scene that will remain forever in the memories of both the film crew and the family. Such unexpected moments are what make the documentary so special: They not only demonstrate the beauty of Thai culture, but also how the family sticks together in every situation.

A new phase of life with a firm anchor at Sauer Systems
For Rainer and Tik, the wedding marks not only a symbolic new beginning, but also a change in their lives: They plan to settle in Thailand and move into their own house. But even though they have found a new home, their connection to Sauer Systems remains intact – after all, Rainer and Baron are still important parts of the company and want to sell the innovative products in Thailand as well – after all, the demand is there.

This story is a striking example of how tradition, family, and professional success can go hand in hand. Thanks to the documentary, a chapter full of emotions, surprises, and laughter has been captured—memories that will perhaps continue to amuse future generations of the Gottwald family.

One of the highlights was watching the episode of Goodbye Germany together with many customers, friends and family at the SAUER SYSTEMS Christmas party on December 6, 2024 in the Winterdorf Walldorf.
